Nellie is a 8 yo Pittie girl that has not had an easy life. Nellie has had to fight for every morsel of food and every ounce of comfort just to survive. The physical signs of her past are still visible - small reminders of battles she never should have had to face. 

But what stands out so much more than her scars is her spirit.

Nellie is gentle. She is grateful. She is happy in a way that only dogs who have known hardship can be when they finally feel safe. Her tail wags a little harder, her eyes shine a little brighter, and her heart is wide open despite everything she's been through.

She has left her past behind. Now it's our turn to show her what love, stability, and kindness truly look like.
